Why Invest in Vietnam?

Vietnam is An Export Powerhouse

In the past 20 years, Vietnam joined various free trade agreements such as the ASEAN Free Trade Area, US-Vietnam Bilateral Trade Agreement, EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement and the amended Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) with 10 other countries. Geopolitics has also accelerated Vietnam’s growth as exports to the US have more than doubled to US$101 billion in 2021 since the start of the US-China Trade War in 2018.

Why Invest in Vietnam

Vietnam
is Pro-Investor

Law firm Baker & McKenzi has reported that since Vietnam’s first Law on Foreign Investment in 1986, the law has been revised a number of times to adopt a more pro-investor approach while reducing administrative bureaucracy and better facilitating foreign investment into Vietnam. As a result, foreign direct investment into Vietnam continues to trend upwards with over US$16 billion invested in 2019 alone. Altogether, over US$160 billion has been invested in Vietnam since the turn of the century.

Why Invest in Vietnam?

Vietnam has Favourable Population Dynamics

Vietnam’s economic development has successfully translated to an economic uplift of its people. Increasing household income and urbanization are rapidly growing Vietnam’s middle class. According to McKinsey, Vietnam’s middle class is projected to grow to 60 million by 2030, accounting for 57% of the country’s population. This demographic shift will drive consumer spending growth and real estate prices as middle-class families seek high living standards.
